White Christmas Dip

Jun 3, 2025 | 0 comments

What started as a small group of family and friends going in the sea at Boscombe beach, Bournemouth on Christmas day back in 2007, the White Christmas Dip has grown into one of the largest, if not the largest, Christmas day event in the UK. Started by Gale Homes’ Tom Baker, who is also a Trustee of the Gale Foundation Trust, the event now raises between £30-40,000 each year for Macmillan Caring Locally. As the event grew in popularity, Tom decided to seek donations from participants from those taking part for the benefit of Macmillan (as of Christmas 2024). In 2012 Macmillan and Gale Homes actively got involved in helping Tom promote and expand the event and since its beginning the Dip has raised £368,000 for the charity. Gale Homes and Investments have been proud to support Tom and his great achievements with this hugely popular festive event.
